Web Design

Remote web design, custom-built.

I sketch, design and code the whole thing myself, so nothing gets lost between the mockup and the live site. It’ll work properly on phones, and updates are quick and affordable when you need them. I’ve run businesses myself, so I build every site to bring in customers, not just to look good.

What’s included

Every site goes through these four stages. You can hire me for all of them or just one.

Design

I start with sketches, then move to proper mockups in Figma. The layout, type and colour are chosen for your business, not pulled from a template.

Build

Custom-coded, or built on something you can run yourself, like WordPress or Webflow. Either way it loads quickly and works on any screen.

Content & SEO

Help with page structure, copy and images, plus the technical SEO basics so people can find you.

Launch & care

I handle the domain, hosting and launch. After that I can keep making updates and fixes.

Already have a site?

You don’t have to start over. Whatever it’s built on, WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or custom code, send me the link and I’ll take a look.

Fixes & updates

New prices, menus, photos, staff or hours. Broken pages, forms that don’t send, a layout that falls apart on phones.

A fresh look

Keep what works and redesign the rest: new type, colour and layout, so it looks like the business you are today.

Speed & Google

Make a slow site quick, and set up the search basics so people nearby can actually find you.

New pages & features

Online booking, a shop, a gallery, a sign-up form or a whole new section, added to the site you already have.

Taking over a site

Your old designer moved on, or you’re not sure who has the logins? I’ll sort out what you have and keep it running.

Small jobs start at $150. Bigger changes get a quote up front, so you know the cost before I start. Send me your link →

Taste is the part you can’t download

Anyone can get a website now. Templates and site builders put one together in an afternoon, which is why so many of them look the same. What you’re really paying for is judgment: what to leave out, what should stand out, and what makes a visitor pick up the phone.

Made for you, not from a template

Every site starts as a sketch on paper. The layout, type and colour come from your business, so it doesn’t look like the one down the street.

An artist’s eye

I’m an artist and a designer as well as a developer. I sweat the small things most people only notice when they’re wrong: spacing, type, photos and how it feels on a phone.

Built to bring in customers

I’ve run businesses myself. Looking good is only half of it. The site has to make it obvious what you do and easy to get in touch.

Honest opinions

If something won’t work, I’ll tell you, even if it was your idea. A good site is as much about what gets left out as what goes in.

Pricing

I work fast and keep the process simple, so most sites go live in a week or two, not months. These are starting points: every project gets a fixed quote once we’ve talked, and you don’t have to pay it all at once.

Payment plans

A lot of the businesses I work with are small and local, and out here money gets tight in the off-season. Put $500 down and spread the rest over up to 6 months. If your busy season is a few months off, tell me and we’ll plan the payments around it.

How a web project goes

  1. Chat Tell me about the business and the site. I reply within a day with questions and a quote.
  2. Sketch & design Rough sketches, then a proper mockup you can react to before I write any code.
  3. Build Usually days, not weeks. You get a preview link and can comment as the pages come together.
  4. Launch I put it live. After that I’m still around for updates.
